Hi everyone, I did a little comparison test
A comparison i made to give an idea for those who want to use AtlasOS and have similar hardware.
This test is a small comparison that expresses the system usage between stock Windows with all updates after a clean installation and AtlasOS installed on the same system.
Latest Windows 11 Pro version 22631.2715
Lates Nvidia Driver: 546.17 (WHQL)
Lates Chipset AM4 B450 Driver: 5.08.02.027
(Stock windows tested with startup applications turned off for a fair comparison)
As preliminary information, all updates have been received for Windows applications on the Windows i installed for testing.
Why did I do this test?
My current hardware is outdated compared to the current hardware on the market and is no longer capable of providing the required performance in many respects. You can see detailed information about my system as I wrote it below.
What is GPU testing for?
This test was taken not to show that it makes a huge difference in the graphics card, but to show the results of the idle system during the benchmark process. The reason is to show the effect of windows services that are running in the background or hibernating in memory.
Since i mostly Play Overwatch and Battlefield 2042 the performance difference between Stock windows and AtlasOS is noticeable. Battlefield is a game where i experience noticeable slowdown and lag after a while. I get 80-85 fps on average, but in some cases it can drop to 60fps or below. (Low Settings)
Before this test, I was using AtlasOS v0.3 and did not upgrade to the latest versions because I did not experience any problems. I have never experienced any lag or loss of performance in games. I must say that i experienced fluent and comfortable gameplay, especially in Battlefield.
I will do a test to show the difference between the games in both versions and share it with you.

Overwatch Small test (In Practice Range) Same Setting

Since the image synchronization setting in the game is fixed to the highest value supported by the monitor, I manually set the frame rate setting to the highest setting (600fps).

It would be better for you to comment on this matter.

This test is not a gaming performance test, so don't be fooled by the comparison. This test was done to show idle system usage!
I'm sorry if anything is misunderstood because i use translation.
